a proud team that never quit

the new england patriots did their fans proud even though they did not make the playoffs. as a pats fan i could not be more prouder of this franchise. an 11-5 season without the reigning league mvp is amazing. the pats will decide what to do with cassel in due time, but for now all pats fans should be proud of their team. they will be hungry next year

Run the table

If this team wants to make a serious run at the Super Bowl, they need to win the rest of their games

49ers Who?

I thought for sure that the 49ers would beat New England since Tom Brady is out! That shows the 49ers are not playoff material.

Need better.

I believe in you Matt Casell, but you need to do better! You can't take over the number one scoring offense
from last season and not be able to put it in the end zone! There's no real pressure here Matt, just throw it
to Moss and Wes Welker! If you can't get it to them in the end zone we are going to have some issues!
Touchdowns not field goals!

NE is not that good

NE is not that good-they got lukcy last week.....

Will the past repeat itself?

There once was a man name Drew!

During the second game of the 2001 season, Drew Bledsoe was hit by NY Jets linebacker, Mo Lewis while he was trying to make it out of bounds. Bledsoe's injury gave Tom Brady a chance to make his start at quarterback. Brady made the best of his chance and led the Patriots on a Super Bowl run. Bledsoe never regained his starting role and Brady never looked back.

Brady didn't play any of the 2008 preseason due to a right foot injury from the previous season. During the Patriots' 2008 season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, Brady's left knee was seriously injured midway through the first quarter. The hit came courtesy of Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard, Brady left the game and did not return.

Brady tore both the ACL and MCL in his left knee and discovered he needed season ending surgery. Enter backup Matt Cassel and so far so good.
What will the future hold?

Bradyless Pats take on Jets in AFC East showdown

I am fortunate enough to be attending this game, even though we will not get the quarterback matchup everyone was looking for. Jets fans have seen this game as a changing of the guard, feeling that the division is theirs for the taking. The Jets better be careful though. They come out flat and it could be a very close game. As a Pats fan I am hoping that it will be close enough to have a chance to win. Favre and the Jets just like last week win another nail biter.

Bad Shape

The Pats are in bad shape without TB but not totally forgotten. Don't forget that TB got his start in just the same way. Someone needs to shut Randy Moss's mouth!

Patriots' Agony - Brady's Knee

NE Quaterback Tom Brady may be out with a season ending injury. Is this just a bad dream ? Tomorrow's MRI will tell.
Let's hear it for Matt Cassell ! Talk about stepping up to the plate ! While Brady's fate is unknown (although stories late Sunday night kept pointing to season ending injuries) Cassell perservered to lift the Patriots 17-10 over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tedy Bruschi had the best quote of the day, "Whoever's in there, do your job. ... Worry about the consequences later".

One down...hopefully that applies to the game and not to the franchise player....
